Another from the OPI Texas Collection. This is Guy Meets Gal-veston.

It's a jelly finish, which is lovely a and summery coral pink shade. I applied three coats, and I still have VNL (visible nail line) which is a bit disappointing. But it is kind of worth the effort, because it just screams summer and is a nice bright feel good shade. It dries quickly in between coats too. I think four coats may be better!

Don't Mess With OPI NOTD.

New for Spring/Summer, this shade from The OPI Texas Collection is one of my faves that I was sent. My flash washed out the colour a bit in the above picture, but the below picture captures the shade well!

It is called 'Don't Mess With OPI' and is just the perfect spring green shade, Like fresh grass. It's bright, and fresh looking.

It is a creme formula and so smooth to apply, totally opaque within two coats and it looks lovely and eyecatching on the nails.

Hey Everyone! Here I have another NOTD post with one of the gorgeous Liquid Metals from Nicole By OPI. I used the shade Rich In Spirit. .

"This metallic silvery blue-green is all you really need."

 

It is a beautiful metallic silver/blue, that chances colour depending on the light you are in. It's a lovely colour and it took three coats to get the bottle colour, only thin coats though, and this polish dries so quickly that it's not even a problem, and for a eye catching finish like this .. It's fine!

O·P·I Texas Collection. S/S 2011.

The OPI Spring / Summer 2011 Collection, The Texas Collection. There are quite a mix of interesting shades, some more than others. I love the bottom row of pinks/deep purples.

I was fortunate to be sent a few of the shades in advance of the release..

I love them all..

I vant to be A-lone star is such a perfect festive colour and I will be sporting it for Christmas (It's all packed for my travels to my mums!) It's a creamy pastel blue with a silver icy shimmer to it. It's like ice, and I really like it.

Don't mess with OPI is another fave. I've been looking for a lovely green polish for ages, and this is it. It is a cream shade, really nicely pigmented and looks fab on the nails. I also like it with nail effects on top, because it's so vivid green underneath.

Guy meets Gal-veston is a jelly, so it is a little more sheer than the others, but it's a perfect coral/orange shade that will look gorgeous in the summer for holidays. I used about three coats of this for opacity, and am wearing it on my toes at the moment. It's lovely and bright.

And today's NOTD is with 'It Starts With Me' .. The metallic Champagne.. I love it, I mean really love it! It's gold and sparkly with peachy rose coloured shimmer and it looks a different colour in every light.

It is so eye catching and I cannot stop staring at and admiring my nails at the moment, I would describe it as a rose gold colour. Even my BF complimented it, saying how festive it looks. That's the only real shame about these metallic shades, they are perfect for Christmas and New Year, so it's a shame they are not released until January. But hey! They are perfect for any time of the year. The above pictures are of two thin coats, I could probably do with another, but next time I will do slightly heavier coats.

 

I am/was a complete Nicole By OPI/OPI virgin up until last week, and  I have to say, I am converted already. The application of these are smooth, they dry super quickly, they last for about four days without any tip wear and my fave thing is the brush! In the 'Nicole' shades they are like a short maxi brush that is tapered at the edges so that it fits so perfectly onto the nail making application a complete doddle! It's wide, but very flat and glides on effortlessly, distributing the right amount of colour.
