» Models Own Nail Polishes.

Here are two of the new shades from Models Own. Prussian Blue and Garnet. Both are bright eye catching colours, and really nice opaque finishes within two coats. The staying power is good with them too, even without a base/top coat (I'm always lazy with that!) ..

Prussian Blue is a matte finish, which needed two coats. It's gorgeously bright, like a royal blue and it dries super fast, like most matte shades too. I love it, and can't wait to experiment with it, with GOSH Rainbow and Barry M Nail Effects over the top.

Garnet is a lovely bright red colour, very sophisticated and kind of festive. It's opaque in two coats and dries reasonably quick. Both lasted well and I love the applicator brush on both polishes. I am new to Models Own, but quite impressed overall with the quality, pigmentation and lasting power!

Excuse the sloppy application, I painted them just so you could get an idea of the colours. I think I need some of them nail swatch wheel things so I can take really good pics!

Anyway, what do you think of the colours? I like both of them, but Prussian Blue takes the lead just a little for me! I can't wait to experiment with it, like I said.

Models Own Polishes are available from Models Own Website & Boots, for £5 each.

Revlon Matte Suede NOTD's!

Ohh, this is my 400th post! ..

With their A/W Colletion Revlon released two gorgeous Matte Suede nail colours. One is a gorgrous deep red/burgundy shade (Ruby Ribbon). The other is a dark vibrant green (Emerald City). Both shades remind me of Christmas because they are such deep festive colours.

I have two NOTD's here for you. The finish of the Matte/Suede's is lovely. It's not a flat boring matte, it's a shimmery matte that is eye catching, I love it!

First up, Ruby Ribbon!

And here we have Emerald City!

What do you think of Matte Nails? Have you tried these?
Thank You For Reading!

Matte Nails and Thank You!

Recently I purchased a couple of new Collection 2000 hot looks nail polishes, and one of them was a coral(ish) colour called fruit salad, not normally a colour I would go for, but I thought I'd give it a try.

So, here is a NOTD with 'Fruit Salad' and a coat of Essie's Matte About You' on top.

Also, I must say a big mahoosive thank you to the gorgeous Hannah who sent me the Matte top coat because she wasn't digging the matte look. I really love it, Like I thought I would, So thank you so much hun!.. You should all go check and follow her blog too, she is having a nice MAC give away at the moment, which is awesome!

So here is my nail look.. The Fruit Salad looks patchy, I know! I only did two coats, and before I put the topcoat on it didn't look so patchy, but the matte-ness just highlights it a bit, and the camera highlights it even more so.

But you get the idea!..
