Schwarzkopf [3D]MENSION Anti-Dandruff Range.

One for the men today, or the man in your life!

My boyfriend has recently been trying some products from the [3D]MENSION* range for men from Schwarzkopf.

Here are his words, written by me (for him!) ..

I like the bold coloured packaging, it stands out.

The shampoo doesn't have much of a scent to it, which I like and prefer. It lathers well and a little of it goes a long way (about a two pence piece size)  and it leaves my hair feeling soft and clean. It is specifically designed for people with dandruff, and I notced after a a single use that I didn't have any atall, and my scalp felt more soothed.

  • 'Schwarzkopf [3D]MENSION Anti-Dandruff Tonic' .. Instantly relieve your itchy, flaky scalp with the Schwarzkopf [3D]MENSION Anti Dandruff Tonic, a deeply clarifying fluid that boosts the efficacy of the Anti-Dandruff Shampoo.
The tonic was a weird one for me. I am normally used to washing and going, but Sophie explained that I was to put it on after the shampoo and leave it in. I really like this, it has a stronger scent than the shampoo, but it is a manly, afstershave like scent, that is not overpowering. This is a gel that is applied to the scalp and it instantly cools and soothes my scalp. I really like it.

So there you have it. I think he liked it! He is definitely interested in trying other things from the range, and will definitely repurchase these items, they have really got rid of his dandruff so well. (Which pleases me!)

Schwarzkopf Oil Miracle Finishing Treatment.

I had never tried a proper hair oil before up until recently. I had however heard mention of them, and how cool they are for nourishing dry ends and adding some smoothness and shine. I'd tried using bio oil and the superdrug oil on my hair a few times, and it always added a nice shine, but I felt I could feel it a little on my hair.

I was recently sent this Oil Miracle from Schwarzkopf to try out, and I wasted no time in testing it out. I use a tiny pea sized amount for my long thick hair. I rub it into my hands first, and they distribute it through my ends first, and then whatever is left I put through the length, a little of this spreads a long way.

I then left my hair to air dry (I always do), and then the following morning I straightened it. The shine was amazing, my hair looks really healthy after I use this, like 'just out of the salon' shiny. One friend of mine commented that my hair looked like the hair from a glossy shampoo television advert.. That was totally unprovoked too, they just complimented me.

It's a bit of an addiction now, and probably a new step added to my hair regime. The oil really makes my hair feel and look more nourished and shiny. I tried to capture it for you below:
Also, it's funny, but this picture surprised me, I never knew my hair was so multi tonal!

This is also great to add after styling your hair. I use the teeniest tiniest amount, just through my ends for even more shine. It's lovely, and this 100ml bottle will last me for ages.

Available online, here.

Review: OSiS Refresh Dust + Pump My Curls.

I have an obsession with hair products. I must have a dressing table full of them, it's crazy! But I love trying new things that promise to do new things, and make my hair amazing.

At the moment I am embracing the big natural voluminous look of my hair, rather than using my Cloud 9's. You may have seen me say it before, but my hair is curly, frizz prone and I have lots of it.

I was sent the two products above to try out, and I'm very excited by them both, they are perfect for my curly hair, plus I absolutely love the Schwartzkopf OSiS range.

The Refresh Dust : This is a dry shampoo type product. It is a powder spray that simply makes your greasy looking hair look fresh and revived. It's really a nice product, I love the packaging, it's so sleek and eye catching.

As a dry shampoo it's great, it does what it says on the tin, it freshens your hair up, giving it a new lease of life, and another day or two of not needing to be washed. I personally have a huge collection of dry shampoos and this is a welcome addition. This product is also brilliant as a volume product, just spray at the roots, ruffle your fingers through, and voila! Instant volume.

The Pump My Curls : I am in love with this product, it's brilliant for my natural curls. It's really cool too, it's a spray, but when it is sprayed into your hand or directly onto the hair, it turns to a cream.

It smells lush and gives me big curls that stay in place, it definitely has good hold, but not a hard 'I've got a ton of mousse on my hair' crunchy hold - It's really natural and bouncy. This is my go to curling product at the moment. Just spritz onto damp hair, scrunch and let it dry.

So all in all, a thumbs up from me. I love the OSiS Range. Have you tried anything from it?

OSiS is available from The Hair Supermarket.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Smooth Shine Range >.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure is a haircare range that I have tried before, and was impressed by, So when I was asked if I would like to try their smooth shine shampoo and conditioner, I accepted.

It promises to Cleanses, nourish and smooth unmanageable hair for lasting frizz protection and a mirror-like shine. My hair is naturally curly, and frizzy and can be very dull, so the idea of a shampoo that tackles all of that in one sounded good to me!

The Smooth Shine Shampoo
is a luxurious thick cream that smells really good, all of the Bonacure products that I have used have a really nice scent to them that lasts on the hair until the next wash. When it is massaged in it doesn't foam amazingly, but it is said to have a mild foaming, which cleanses the hair. When I rinsed my hair it feels really smooth, almost smooth enough not to need conditioner, which is not something that happens normally when I wash my hair.

The Smooth Shine Conditioner is thick and creamy like the shampoo and you don't need much to spread it evenly through the hair. It made my hair feel instantly smooth, I left it for a couple of minutes, combed through and rinsed out and was left with silky hair that felt manageable.

I left my hair to dry naturally into curls and was so impressed with the result. It feels so smooth and bouncy, no frizzy fly away bits and a really healthy shine. I would definitely recommend this if, like me, you have curly frizzy hair that can look dull, I feel like it really brightened up my hair and made it looks healthy and much more manageable.

See, looks nice, doesn't it? .. I really, really like these two and am so impressed with the results.

Review - New, OSiS Hair Products!

I'm weird about my hair, sometimes I can't be bothered with the hassle of washing, drying, straightening it every other day, and so I just end up wearing it tied up in a ponytail or messy bun all of the time.

When I was asked if I would like to try some products from the new revamped OSiS range, I couldn't resist. I gave a few choices of what I would like to try, and I was sent a selection of three things, show above. All of the products are in really modern looking packaging, and they have 'hold strength' from 1 to 3 I believe, one being light hold..

Dust It : (Hold 1) This is a light styling powder designed to texturise hair with a soft matt effect.

This is really different for me, and for a while I was a little confused about what to do with it, even though I chose to try it out! It's a mattifying dust that comes in a shaker tub. I used it on my roots and it gave instant 'ooomf' and volume! It is also good for soaking up any oil on yours roots too, so it's like a dry shampoo and volumiser. I really like this product, but I do think it would work better on shorter layered styles.

Curl Me Soft : (Hold 2) This is a velvet curl cream designed to define curls and prevent flyaways.

This is my favourite of the bunch. I purposely chose some things that I could use to emphasise my curly hair, rather than something to use after straightening. Because my hair is naturally curly it's healthier for my hair to let it do it's thing, rather than using any heat. With this product I would applying it to my damp hair (after washing) and then just let it dry naturally, My hair dried into natural ringlets that were frizz free and separated, it also holds well too! I love what this did for me and it is something I have been using constantly.

Grip : (Hold 3) This is a long lasting super hold mousse.

Mousse is something I always use for my curls, and this one is great, it's lightweight and didn't make my hair feel clogged with product, it brushes out easily and doesn't overload the hair at all. It has maximum hold and when going for an evening out this is the perfect product to hold my curls all night long, in conjunction with the curl me soft.

What are your favourite hair products guys? .. I recommend this range if you're looking for something new to try.

Mum Reviews : Schwarzkopf Seah Black Pearl.

This Range is designed specifically for Mature Hair..

They Say :
Delicate, dry and mature hair needs special care in order to look and feel healthy and radiant. The SEAH HAIRSPA MATURE HAIR product range contains mild and light formulas with Hyaluron Rejuvenate Copmplex, enriched with Black Pearl extract, to rejuvenate the hair with moisture, whilst protecting it from external damage. The result is beautiful, youthful looking hair, soft to the touch and radiant in shine..
So, obviously, with being 27 I don't exactly have hair that is that Mature, but my mum does! She has been a hairdresser for over 30 years, Er.. Well, a long time! So we can safely say that she knows her hair products!

Meet My Lovely Mum, Sylvia.

She was very excited at the opportunity to test and review some products, and to write her review for my blog. She has very long hair, as you can see. It is coloured and quite dry and damaged.

She has been testing these for about 5 weeks now, and here are her thoughts..

* * *

I really love the packaging of all of the products, it is very sleek, modern and expensive looking.
The shampoo and conditioner both come in large pump bottles which is much easier to use than a standard bottle. The mask comes in a large tub, and you just scoop the product out.

One little off putting thing, which is just in the mind really, was that the actual product also had a grey tinge to it, a similar colour to the packaging. This doesn't affect the product, it just looks a little off putting when you pump/scoop it out.

All three of the products had the same scent, I'm not great at describing smells, but they all smell very good and the scent lingered on the hair until I washed it again.

Seah Black Pearl Bath Shampoo : This product is thick and luxurious, it lathers well but I did need quite a lot of product to get the lather going, but my hair is very long and quite dry on the ends. It smells good, as I mentioned, and it left my hair feeling smooth.

Seah Black Pearl Wrap Conditioning Lotion : Again, this is rich and creamy, but it really wasn't enough to soften my dry ends fully, So I found that I would use the mask afterwards to help with my dry ends.

Seah Black Pearl Masque Cream : This is a thick cream that can be left on as a treatment to condition the hair, it left my hair feeling really smooth and soft and I enjoyed using this.

All three products were very nice to use, and using them in conjunction with the others left my hair feeling very soft and manageable and left it frizz free and smooth on my dry ends.

*Products were provided for free for review consideration.
All opinions are honest*

Schwarzkopf Silhouette Extreme Gloss Spray

Before I start, Sorry about the crappy picture! I had bad lighting when I took this!

So anyway, the Schwarzkopf silhouette shine spray is an extreme gloss/shine finishing spray that has been created using a special shine-boosting formula, which enhances the light reflection on the hair surface.

I have been using this for weeks now and I have to say that I think it's really lovely! I am not one for overloading my hair with too many products, I normally just spritz a bit of hairspray on when I have straightened my hair and I'm done.

I was curious about if this would actually work! - So I started to use it after using my Cloud9's (which already leave lots of shine on my hair) and this just make's it looks really glossy and healthy, you can't feel it on your hair either, my hair still feels completely natural and flexible yet this stuff seems to hold my hair in place too, it doesn't have an extremely strong hold, it's a bit more natural but it's enough for me.

This was also awesome for when I let my hair dry to it's naturally curly state, It held the curls and made them look so glossy! I tend to have trouble with trying not to let my hair look frizzy when it naturally dries, but with a little frizz ease on the ends and then this to finish I had shiny healthy curls.

It has a light fragrance to it, but nothing to overpowering and it's such a light weight mist that makes my hair looks amazing, I really like it! It is a huge 300mls too, which will last me ages.

Have you tried this, or anything else from the range?

*This was sent to me for review purposes, My opinion is honest - as always*

Bonacure Moisture Kick Haircare Review.

BC HAIRTHERAPY MOISTURE KICK SHAMPOO

This shampoo is lush, it smells delicious and lathers nicely. You only need to use a small amount and it leaves my hair feeling really smooth manageable, It definitely does what it says on the tin and puts moisture back into my dry ends, and also smooths them too. I really love how the scent of it lingers on my hair though, I don't know quite how to describe it, but every time I use this in the shower I 'Mmm and Aaah' over the smell, It's gorgeous.

BC HAIRTHERAPY MOISTURE KICK RECHARGER

Now this I LOVE and have been using loads. It is a mousse conditioner that you apply to towel dried hair and leave on for 10/15 mins. The mousse is really light weight and smells gorgeous like the shampoo. I leave it on for 15 mins or so before combing it through (and by then my hair feels silky and so conditioned) and then rinsing it. My hair looks so glossy and it good condition after using this.. You don't need to use it every time you shampoo though, I just use it as a treatment about once a week. Maybe more if I want a hair treat!

BC HAIRTHERAPY MOISTURE KICK SPRAY CONDITIONER

I use this every time I shampoo (except on days when I use the recharger) .. In all honesty I was never one for leave in conditioners and thought they were for kids with tangles, but this is really nice. I just spritz it all over my towel dried hair and it acts like a normally conditioner (just without rinsing!), making my thick curly hair more easy and manageable to comb and style. Once again it smells delicious and puts moisture back into my hair, that all of the heat from straighteners and hair colours take out.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Hairtherapy

Repair Rescue Conditioner 200ml : £9.85
Repair Rescue Amino Fortifier 50ml : £8.65

Hey all, I hope you are all well.

I have been trying some of the Schwarzkopf Bonacure hair products for just over a month now and I have been really liking them. Before I actually received them I had to fill out a prescription for my hair, all about my hair type and condition, and then I was sent my products in a medicine type package, which I thought was really fun! These products are like medicine for your hair, they are designer to make your hair strong and to help repair any damage.

I want to start by telling you about the treatment, The Amino Fortifier. It smells really good and is a thick creamy consistency, but be warned, you do not need much at all! (I made that mistake the first time) - I have very thick hair and lots of it and I found that I only needed to use a small blob (about the size of a small coin) .. I massage it through the mid length and ends of my hair and leave it for five or so minutes before combing through and rinsing, It left my hair feeling ultra silky.

After a couple of weeks I began to notice a difference, in that after using this in the shower and drying and straightening my hair it felt and looked so glossy and in much better condition, The cuticles of my hair were smoother and It felt stronger too. So much so that my mum (who is a hairdresser) commented on it when I saw her last week, Saying how much healthier it looked.

I did initially think this small tube would run out quickly, but you really do not need much at all. I use it only once a week, and love how it has repaired the ends of my hair!

.. Now onto the conditioner! First things first, I do not feel the need to use this when I am using the treatment, But I use this on the days when I am not using it. Again, it is a thick creamy nice smelling product that you don't need to use much of, It leaves my hair feeling so manageable and soft and gives it a lovely healthy glossy shine when it is styled. The packaging is great too and you get a whopping 200mls which will last for ages. As with the treatment you don't need to use alot of this and I just massage it through the mid length and ends.

So, all that is left for me to say is thank you Bonacure for helping my hair feel healthy and glossy again. It's been a while since I have wanted to make an effort with it and show it off, but I do now!

Schwarzkopf Osis Design Mix

I always used to dye my hair with Schwarzkopf hair colours and loved the outcome, So when I was offered the chance to review some of the Osis Design Mix products I said a definite yes!

I always loves to play with my hair and see what new styles I can come up with (It must come from the year and a half I spent at college doing hair!) .. You will see from most of my videos that I normally have my hair up, that is because it is difficult to manage (very thick and curly/frizzy) and I can't be bothered with it! - But receiving these made that change, I wanted to try them and make the effort, and I am glad I did because I think it has got me out of that rut.

The packaging is really modern and sassy and packed full of product. I love the fact that you can just dip into the pot and control how much you use too. Oh, and the scent on them all is gorgeous.

This is what the website says ..

"With the new OSiS Design Mix you can experience six new and innovative products that let you experience great hairstyles. Just go by the names of the products and create stunning looks:

GLOSS to MATT
SMOOTH to ROUGH
LIGHT to STRONG

…and if that is not enough for you: these 6 contradictive products have been specially developed and tested to be perfectly intermixable. So go ahead and become your own hair-designer with the new OSiS Design Mix!"

So I decided to go for GLOSS, SMOOTH and STRONG as they were the ones that most appealed to me and my hair type.

SMOOTH : Smoothing cream for silky, smooth finish and lasting frizz control

The smooth was the first one I used because it is said to have frizz control and can be used as a blow drying or a finishing cream which I thought was excellent. Now, I am not one for blow drying my hair, because it is so frizzy and it just gets worse if I use too much heat. So I decided to apply this to my damp hair and just left it to dry naturally... Well, what can I say? It dried so nicely! My hair had dried into luscious separated smooth and shiny curls, It felt amazing look really nice too! ..

Results:

Nice huh? I loved it, and it lasted for about 3 days, too! :)

GLOSS : Fibrous glossing balm for lustrous shine

That leads me nicely onto the gloss! .. This is a fibrous balm with macadamia nut oil in it, It smells absolutely gorgeous, definitely my fave of the lot, although they all smell lovely. I used this after straightening my hair to add shine. The smallest amount is all you need for a full head (and I have loads of hair). I just tipped my head upside down and ran my palms and fingers through it. The results were lovely, I had a natural looking glossy mane, Lovely! I will definitely carry on using this after straightening from now on!

STRONG : Crushed ice gel, great for separation and texture

Upon opening this I was like *wow!* It is a lovely orange colour, and again smells so good. I was a little lost at to what to use this for, because I don't use gels normally, but I decided to try it out for a hair pouf (quiffy thing on top of my head?) I just took the tiniest amount, ran it through said piece of hair and styled it, It held well and when I took it out I didn't have a hard crunchy feeling on my hair that I have had with other gels. It kind of felt like I could restyle it and it would hold again. I honestly think this would be a fab product for someone with a shorter more layered style too, it holds style really well and is re workable!

.. So there you have it, all in all 3 lovely products, I think my favorite is Smooth, just because I can used it on wet and dry hair. But remember, you can use these in conjunction with each other without over loading the hair, So why not give them a try?

Schwarzkopf Osis Design Mix is Available from The Shampoo Shop.
