Crown Brush Smoke It Out Palette..

I can see you... Staring at the picture of that gorgeous palette in wonderment... Go on, look a little longer, I'll wait right here...

Haha! Isn't it gorgeous? Blog readers, meet the Smoke It Out Palette* from Crown Brush! It's the most me palette I've ever seen, and I have a lot of palettes.

The thing is, my favourite make up is dramatic and smokey, but I love colour! So put them together and what have you got?  This beauty! It's really, really gorgeous and I've been playing with it for a while now. You can see a couple of examples of looks in the collage above, and I can assure you there will be many more to come.

So let's talk about the palette. . It has 36 eyeshadows and each one is pigmented, even the few matte shades that are included. They are soft like buttah and blend like a dream, they really do. I didn't do swatches, mainly because I do them so badly and I thought the makeup I've done with the palette was much more interesting anyway.

The shadows come in a sturdy black casing which is light weight and stays firmly closed.. this is important because some palettes try to open in my luggage when I travel and I hate it!

I really don't know what else I can say to sum this palette up. If you love dramatic makeup and experimenting with colour and this makes you go wow, then you'll love it and you should get it! I am very happy that I own it. It's a perfect palette for any season too, because the colours are so versatile.

Do check it out here if you're as in love as I am. It's only £19.99.. Yes. Under twenty quid.. I know!

Photo-a-Day ~ Day Twelve ~ L'Oreal Neon Pop Nails!

This is more like a post or photo a day, whatever though!

Anyway, have you seen these beauties from L'Oreal yet?

The 'Neon Pop' collection* is perfect for Summer! The shades are bright and eye catching and as with the other color riche polishes in the collection they apply really nicely, are pigmented and have a great applicator brush.

Banana Pop
is the best yellow I've ever tried! I've always had a thing for yellow nails, but it's all about finding the perfect mellow shade. This is a winner!

Acid Watermelon
is the most neon of them all, a shocking bright stunning pink. Gorgeous on toes and super summery! Love it.

Wasabi Hint
I. LOVE. THIS. SHADE. It's minty but not to pale like a pastel mint. It's so unusual and I have been wearing this one lots.

Flashing purple
is a bright, lovely purple. This is the least opaque of the bunch and kind of has a less cream finish, but it's a great colour!

What do you think of these? Nice huh! Check them out here!

Orange, Pink and Purple Eyes!

Lame title, I know! I'm bad at thinking of interesting names for looks.

Anyhoo, here is a quick post on a look from the weekend that I did.

I used some colours from my 120 Palette, which can be purchased from Ebay. I used a pink, purple, orange, and a little black in the outer corner. The lashes are also some ebay cheapies which make for great demi/half lashes! I can't remember the lip colour, but I think I mixed a couple of shades and came up with that.

Onto the look!

That's all for now folks! -- I have a folder full of face of the day looks, most of which I don't remember what I used for them - Should I still just post them, or would it be annoying if I couldn't remember what I used? (I must start jotting products down as I used them. *Slaps wrist*)

- China Glaze Promo Inspired Look.

Hello Everyone!

So lately I've been getting a bit inspired by images of make up, and attempting to recreate them. It's fun to experiment and see what you can do.

I came across the promo image for the China Glaze Crackle Polishes, which you can see here. I love the bright coloured smokey eye make up, and the nails .. the lips however, hmmm.. I was in two minds about those, but in the name of fun, here you go!

Green lips. Yep.       (Long silence)       .. Needless to say, I can't pull them off like she can! I got the shade wrong too, but whatever! I would never have gone out with green lips anyway, They're not for me.

The rest of the look I love, the dramatic smokey eyes with green/turquoise are very me. I used all colours from the Urban Decay Deluxe Palette for them, mainly the green, blue and black, with a hint of purple.

And then..... I wiped off the lipstick, and took a more normal pic!
Better, right? .. I think so!

What do you think of this crazy look? .. You can see the nails I did for the look, here.

— Katy Perry » Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) Inspired Make up.

Hey Lovelies! TGIF! It's Friday, the perfect day for me to post this look that I did!

I don't normally copy celebrity make up looks, not because I don't want to but because I don't feel like I am good enough to, but I was so inspired by the make up that Katy has on in her latest video, that I decided 'What the hell!' and I went for it! .. It was fun to do, and I just love the 80's inspired bright look and the crazy blush and lined lips.

You can watch the video here!

Ok, So on with my recreation .. I did what I could with what I have. Obviously I don't know what was used to do her look, so I just went with what I thought would be similar.
I tried to pull a crazy eyed expression too, but kind of failed!
So there it is.. I like the bright colours in the look and I would definitely go out like this. I couldn't find my lip liner so mine isn't as defined, but I did use a darker lipstick around my lips. I couldn't find my crazy 80's earrings either - I do have some, somewhere!

— My Weekly Faces!

Hey Lovelies!

I had a little idea of posting a FOTD for each day of this week. This won't be a weekly thing because I don't wear make up every single day, but I am currently loving playing and experimenting daily, so I have Monday to Fridays looks.

I hope you like! :)

Monday: This look was done with a Claire's Palette which I got for Christmas from my lovely sister. I just used some blues, and a bit of green in the crease. On the lips I have MAC Pretty Please.
Tuesday: Urban Decay Naked Palette was used for the eyes, and Revlon Fire & Ice lipstick on the lips. I love that lipstick. MAC Peachy Keen on the cheeks.Wednesday: Very simple make up day. I used black mac greasepaint stick, and piled some club eyeshadow on top and into the crease, I love how effortless it is, and how nice that shadow looks. MAC Pretty Please on the lips again, and Boots No17 Peaches and Cream blush.
Thursday: I did this look using my Urban Decay Book Of Shadows Vol 1. I love it! I just used a mix of browns and some black. I love the Mushroom shade in that palette, It is stunning. On the lips I am wearing Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Fuchsia. Boots No17 Peaches and Cream on the cheeks again.
Friday: Lastly, I was off out for a drink and fancied a bit of colour. I used the Max Factor Experience Foundation here, I really do love it. I also used my Sue Moxley Festival Eyes palette. On the cheeks in The Balm's Hot Mama, and on the lips is Barry M #147 (Peachy Pink).

So there you have it, my week in faces! .. Do you have a favourite?

Revlon A/W 2010 Collection and FOTD.

Revlon A/W Palette and Lipstick.
I was recently sent the new Revlon Autumn / Winter Collection and I could not wait to play with it, The Collection is called Suede Rhapsody and is created by Gucci Westman. The Collection includes glamour, modern textures and deep toned colours with modern bursts of colour.

So yesterday I thought I would do a make up FOTD for you all, which I also recorded for You Tube.

This is the look I did, and all colours on the eyes are from the palette. On my waterline I have Benefit Eye Bright, and for Mascara I used Rimmel Volume Flash.

The Palette is full of a gorgeous selection of colours and the deep purple is just perfect for a dramatic smokey look. That is what I did, and then for a pop of colour I used the bright pastel colour on my lower lashine. The lip colour is a matte lipstick in the colour 'Stormy Pink' and I love it! It is my absolute new favourite.

The collection is available from Boots, Click Here.

I will be posting about the other products in this collection soon, so keep a look out for that!

I am currently sporting Illamasqua's 'Force' nail polish, with a coat of GOSH Rainbow on top, I really love the effect, it looks so pretty!

The Illamasqua polish only takes two coats for a perfect finish and applied really nicely.

Barry M Raspberry Nails!

This is one of the newer nail polishes I have added to my collection. I had heard lots of people rave about it on you tube and blogs, and so I wanted to try it for myself.

It is not what I imagined it would be. However, it is a very stunning colour that I can't stop admiring on my hands, It's elegant looking and more mature than the pastels I have worn recently. I hope that makes sense? .. Don't get me wrong though, I love fun colours!

I'll be honest though, I don't associate the colour with raspberries, I think more of Cherries when I look at my nails. But that's unimportant, It is a lovely shade!

What do you think, does it look like a raspberry colour to you?

What are your favourite Barry M Nail Paints?

Sleek MakeUp - Raspberry Souffle Pout Polish.

(Sorry for the dodgy mouth shot!)

Say Hello To Raspberry Souffle, One of the brand new limited edition Pout Polishes from Sleek Makeup.

This is a very pigmented hot pink colour which has a slight blue/purpley undertone to it, The colour is very pretty and it feels so moisturising on the lips. It also contains SPF15 which is an added bonus, so you don't have to worry about your lips on those Hot Summer days, just slap your pout polish on and go! I would say this is comparable to a MAC Lip conditioner, for a fraction of the price.

The consistency of the pout polish is really smooth and soft, and it leaves the lips looking super glossy!.. I like to keep it in the fridge on warm days, otherwise it can be a little melty.

One thing I will say about this new shade is that I would have expected a Raspberry Scent, but it doesn't really have one, It has a sweet scent, and taste too it but it's not raspberry. It's the same scent as the regular pout polishes have, It's pleasant though!

This is a great quality product for the bargain price of £3.99 and you can buy it online, or purchase it from your nearest Superdrug.

Revlon Fuchsia Fever Nails!

Hi all..

Revlon kindly sent me some gorgeous goodies to try out a while ago, and one of the items was this new nail polish shade, Fuchsia Fever, It's stunningly bright and eye catching.

Revlon polishes apply really nicely in my opinion. The formula is quite thin, but that saves it from getting gloopy and difficult to apply. To get an opaque finish I used two heavier coats.

Isn't it lovely? The picture with the flash is actually more true to life than the one in natural light. It's so bright and pretty and lasted about four days without a top coat (I must get me a god topcoat!)

The Revlon Range is available from Boots and Superdrug. This nail polish is £6.29.

Nail Of The Day! Pink Glitz!

I never do these any more, and maybe I should as I love painting my nails.

This is nothing special, and is pretty plain really, but I like it..

What I used :

Barry M Bright Pink #279, with a Lorraine Stanick-Esque Glitter nail, for which I used Revlon nail polish in 'Hot Roxx' which is the most gorgeous pink/purple Glitter. Loves it!

I hope you like! :)
