- The Face Essentials.

G'day!
This evening I wanted to talk about some of my most favourite face products. For me, these are essential staples that I feel like I need to have for my face when doing my makeup.

This one is a very long standing favourite of mine. I can remember when I first tried an eye primer (this one) and being so massively amazed at how it kept my eyeshadow in place all night and it didn't crease! My eyeshadow was always a creasy mess before I discovered eye primer. This one remains a favourite, I have tried others but nothing else seems to compare.

A fairly recent discovery, and a brow game changer from the first use. I love that it has a coloured wax and powder to set it with. It just works - well! I use the wax then the powder with a stiff angled brush, and it gives me somewhat decent looking brows... most of the time! Although brows are always my nemesis.. This just makes them a little less so.

I've been using this one for years, since it came out (whenever that was!) It soothes and cools my undereyes, which is great on those early mornings. It's brightens and conceals and soothes all in one, a win-win-win! I couldn't be without it.

I got this one sent to me when it was first released. I remember anticipating it coming out here when everyone across the pond was talking about it. I wasn't sure it'd be for me because of how light people were saying it was, but I LOVE. This is a must have for me, it's so weightless, covers well and doesn't highlight dry patches or make my face an oily mess. My skin stays reasonable matte because of the powder finish. I have run out at the moment and I am itching to go and repurchase again!

I was very excited when cheaper drugstore brands started latching on to the tinted brow gel idea. I have a few, but I tend to reach for this one the most, I really like how the spoolie wand is teeny tiny, so a perfect size for your brows. It does add thickness to them too, and obviously colour.. Plus it's massive mascara size, so will last for ages!

 Garnier 7 Day Body Lotion.

If you have dry skin from the cold harsh weather then this is something I would highly recommend! This was sent to me to try out and it is awesome. It's a body lotion that claims to last and keep your skin soft for up to seven days.

They Say : Imagine a body product that offers daily hydration so intense you feel it up to 7 days.
Garnier introduces its new Innovation, a light-weight non-greasy lotion enriched with natural ingredients for irresistibly soft skin that smells great. - Nourishing shea butter for dry to extra dry skin.

I Say : I love it, I don't suffer with overly dry skin, luckily, but that doesn't matter. I love to use it on my legs and any dry spots after bathing. It smells amazing! I find myself sniffing myself (dodgy!) all day when I have it on, it is yum!
It leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft (I can't vouch for the 7 day thing because I shower regularly and reapply it afterwards) .. It's a thin lotion that soaks in quickly without leaving any residue or greasy feeling on the skin.

Thumbs up from me!

♥ I Love Hauling!

Hey lovelies! I recently had a little bit of retail therapy. I had some leftover Christmas money, and wanted to have a browse around town, So here is a little haul post of what I picked up!

♥ Cosmopolitan Beauty Blender 'Dupe' Sponge : I have wanted this ever since I saw it recently on a you tube video (can't remember who's!) I have wanted a Beauty Blender for ages, but have heard that this is as good, if not better - and it is only £4.95! Bargain :)
♥ Garnier Pure Active Moisturiser : I lovvee this! It's one of my faves, and I would repurchase it over and over. It's cooling, soothing, moisturises well and combats spots too!
♥ Nails Inc Polish, Caramel : I got this free with two bottles of yummy Diet Coke. This is the only colour they had left! I don't have a nude, so am looking forward to trying this out.
♥ Accessorize Illusion Polish, Aztec : I've wanted this since it came out, It's a stunning multi shimmer duochrome shade, comparable to one of MAC's limited edition shades. It's stunning! I put it on as soon as I got home and I cannot stop looking at my fingers!
♥ MAC Club Eyeshadow : OMG, this is awesomeness! I've wanted it for a while, and it lives up to all I expected. It's a beautiful duochrome (brown/green) and just looks so good on the eyes. I am wearing it now, alone, and it looks like I made such an effort to do a green/brown crease look. LOVE! ♥
♥ Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, Translucent : I've read numerous positive reviews on this recently, So I thought I would jump on the bandwagon! So far so good. It seems to be keeping my oily skin matte.
♥ The XL Gosh Shader : This is a really nice big fluffy dense brush. I have wanted a MAC 227 for ages, but it's an expensive brush, so I picked this up for £7.99 to see how it lives up. I am liking it so far!

These are just a few bits I picked up in The Body Shop sale. The palette is gorgeous, and the shades are so soft and pigmented. The single shadows were supercheap, and I couldn't resist trying a few. As for the Shimmer cubes - I reviewed them on here recently as I bought them the other week. I just thought I would show it all in this haul too.

♥ True Blood Season 1 and 2 box set! (Did I mention that I LOVE true blood?) .. I ordered this online and cannot wait to start watching them all again!
♥ The earrings were so cheap at £3 (down from £10) and I thought they looks cute and summery!
The Balms Bahama Mama, and Hot Mama, I got these in TK Maxx for £5.99 each (RRP £19) .. They are lovely! The bronzer is matte and perfect for contour, and Hot Mama is like a peachy golden rosy pink! I love it very muchly!

Lastly, Urban Decay Liquid Liner in GASH (what a name!) This was £4.99 (RRP £11.95) from TK Maxx again, I love it, it's such a stunning shade. The mascara is the new Boots mascara, which I am loving. I won this in a facebook giveaway but wanted to pop it in here.

... And that is it! What do you think? f you want to see more on anything, let me know!

Review · Garnier Tinted Eye Roll On.

I've been trying this little baby out for a few weeks now, and I cannot stop using it in my daily routine, I love it so much! If you watch my videos on you tube you will see that I have been using it a lot.

Why? .. Because I think it's great, It really cools and soothes my tired eyes and it covers up any darkness or redness or general tired looking-ness under my eyes, There for it is a winner for me!

I have never tried the original caffeine eye roll on before, and I was exited to try this one out and I have been pleasantly surprised, I don't know why, but I didn't really expect much but I can honestly say that it has become a must for me, the ball really cools the under eye area and this just makes my eyes less puffy and more awake looking.

Here you can see my eye before, during and after application.. The effect is subtle, but really nice in my opinion :)

So, there you have it! If you can't tell, I love this!

You can buy it from Boots here.

*This product was sent to me for review consideration, I am not affiliated with nor am I being paid to say anything about this. My opinions are honest and my own*

Garnier Pure Active Review.

So, as I never made it to the Garnier Event when it happened Natalie was kind enough to send me some of the new skincare stuff to try. I have trouble with my skin quite often and am always open to trying new things.

The three items I tried are from the Garnier - Pure Active range.

*Pure Active 24h Spot Fighting Moisturiser £4.49
*Pure Active Deep Pore Unclogging Wash £3.59
*Pure Active Spot Roll On £5.59

So the first thing I tried was the face wash. It is a thick blue gel consistency and it lathered up really nicely on my face and felt cooling at the same time. It left my skin feeling really silky and all of my spots feeling soothed after the first use. For me this was an amazing result, I've never known anything work that well so quickly - My skin felt really clean and fresh. I have been using this all of the time ever since and it is one of my staples, I feel that along with the two other products I recieved from this range, my skin has improved. The only thing that may put some people off slightly is that this smells sort of chemically and when I'm massaging it into my face sometimes it would catch in my throat - but for me this is no big deal, it works and that's the main thing for me.

Onto the moisturiser, this stuff I LOVE big time, it is a soothing cooling gel that smells delicious, kind of cucumber-ish and it feels amazing on my skin, it absorbs nicely and feels like it soothes my skin. I use this every time I use the facewash and I feel that in conjunction with it that my skin has improved, I have definetely had a lot less spots since using these products and if I do feel any spots coming up and I use this, they dry up before they get to the 'red/angry/painful' stage.

Last but not least, The spot roll on. I was so excited about this and had been eager to try it out - after already reading mixed reviews I was unsure if it would do any good, but it definetely gets a thumbs up from me. It instantly soothes any spots I get, It feels so cooling when I roll it on, and it drys quickly into the skin and it definetely dries up my spots. As I said before, when I get a new spot and I use this I feel it dries them up before they get to the point of becoming nasty spots.

So I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the whole range and I am now really keen to try out the toner and the facial scrub too, because these three products have worked SO well for my skin.

I feel like at the moment my skin is in a much better state that it has ever been. It isn't completely clear, but I don't think it ever will be. But I feel much more confident about wearing a lighter foundation and letting my natural skin show through more often, instead of covering it up all the time.
